TRAINEE MOTORCYCLE TECHNICIAN

Location: Forest Road, Milton Keynes, MK197DE

Salary: £17K - £20K

Hours: Tue - Sat 08:30 - 17:00

Occasional weekday holiday cover and events support.

 

Who Are We?

We are a family owned and run motorcycle dealership with Benelli, CFMOTO, Keeway, Lexmoto, Mutt, Talaria and Torrot franchises. In addition, we have a healthy range of used motorcycles, clothing department and a 3 bay workshop. We’re proud to offer a cradle to grave service for any/all bikes and take pride in offering a premium service.

We have recently relocated into a larger showroom at The Old Woodyard, Forest Road, Hanslope, Milton Keynes, MK197DE and are open Tues – Sun.

As a trainee Technician you will be introduced into the world of motorcycle mechanics, starting in the first instance with PDI (pre-delivery inspections), new bike building and used motorcycle prep. As you progress you will learn to change tyres and to repair punctures, fit accessories etc. You will learn to carryout basic servicing and fault diagnosis.

We offer a tool initiative that will help you to get started, though we expect you to add your own tools as you progress in the role. As you progress you will receive regular salary reviews and incentives.

The Job:

  • Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 08:30 – 17:00

  • Salary: £17k-£20k

  • Location: Bike Sanctuary HQ – MK197DE

  • Tyre fitting

  • Fitment of accessories

  • PDI of used/new motorcycles inc decorating/building delivery bikes.

  • Test rides

  • Cleaning/maintenance of workshop

Requirements:

  • Full UK drivers licence/motorcycle licence (A2 considered)

  • Ideally some own hand tools and ideally impact guns

  • A team work ethic, good sense of humour

  • Ideally some mechanical experience, qualifications or similar
